Mikey, the leader of Team Night Sky, was born in the future Paldea, a region that had been ravaged by pollution and environmental degradation. Growing up in this harsh environment, Mikey developed a deep resentment towards nature and the Pokemon that inhabited it. He believed that the only way to survive in such a world was to dominate it, and he saw Team Sky as a threat to his ambitions.
